A construction site at Kudasan near Gandhinagar in Gujarat turned into an emergency zone on Wednesday after a section of a building under construction suddenly collapsed.
There are fears that several workers may be buried under the rubble. Officials said 10 to 15 workers could still be trapped, and rescuers have already pulled several people out alive.
A building under construction partially collapsed in Kudasan, Gujarat on Wednesday, injuring around 10-15 workers. Rescue teams rescued 8 workers alive while the search operation under the supervision of Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi continues.
Firefighters and other emergency personnel continue to search for the collapsed portion of the structure.
Rescue teams rush to the Kudasan site
Soon after the collapse, teams from the Gandhinagar Fire Department arrived at the site and began clearing the debris in search of stranded workers. Officials said eight workers have been rescued alive so far and the search continues for those who may still be trapped under the rubble.

Rescuers carefully use heavy equipment to clear the area of concrete and other construction materials. The operation is being carried out with the aim of reaching the workers as quickly as possible, without exposing rescuers to additional risk.
Deputy Prime Minister Harsh Sanghavi achieves goal
Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi also reached the site of the collapse and is overseeing the rescue operation.
Fire officials, police officers and other emergency response teams are on the scene and the search continues.

Gandhinagar fire officer Rajesh Patel said that teams were actively involved in the rescue operation and that more information would be available as the situation develops.
