Kurnool:Three people died instantly when an unidentified vehicle rammed the motorcycle they were riding near Uravakonda town in Anantapur district on Thursday evening.
The deceased were identified as Kanekal Zainullah, S Mahabub Basha and S Mohammed Rafi, all residents of Vajrakarur in Anantapur district, police said.
All three were in Uravakonda for court work and were returning to Vajrakarur. An unknown vehicle crashed into their motorcycle, leaving all three seriously injured. They died on the spot. The sight of bodies strewn along the road shocked local residents and passers-by.
The Urawakonda police have conducted preliminary investigations. A case has been registered and efforts are on to trace the unidentified vehicle and its driver. The bodies were taken to the government hospital in Anantapur for post-mortem.
