In case you missed Mauricio Pochettino’s comments The former Tottenham manager argued this week that Spurs should award Chelsea the 2016-17 Premier League title.
He said: “We should have won one Premier League, we should have got it. If it [Chelsea’s rule-break] was true, then we definitely deserve to become champions this year. They were punished, did they admit it? That’s all. The title should go to the second place team.
“You can say they scored goals, they won games. Good. But it’s absolutely fair to say we didn’t go into the season with the same card. Perhaps with the same rules we could have signed some players who would have made the team better or scored more goals.”

Roberto De Zerbi says his Tottenham players still lack fitness and need to “unblock” themselves psychologically after losing their last Premier League.
He explained: “In Italian there is a word – sblockkarsi – this literally translates as if we are unblocking ourselves.
“[It is] psychological block, because four games, no victories, no goals scored… it’s hard for the players. The team is extremely strong, we can score goals and win matches. And then we have to respect the history of the players in their careers. Forget Dominic Solanke and Marmouche, the other players… they haven’t scored many, many goals in their careers and we need to find those goals. I think we can achieve this with the quality of our play.”
De Zerbi added: “I said we started this season late for many, many reasons; too late. A lot of players at the World Cup, a lot of injuries, a lot of problems in Australia. Mickey van de Ven got injured in Australia. Domi Solanke the same. James Maddison the same. Mateus Fernandes got injured in Australia. He lost 15 days and it’s not that fast. Savio and Marmus, they arrived 10 days ago. I started working with that [whole] group not last Thursday, but two Thursdays ago. So I think we don’t have the right physical shape yet.”

Mikel Arteta was angry with referee John Brooks Last night, despite Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Sunderland.
Before Bruno Guimarães gave Arsenal the lead in a tense match that Regis Le Bris’ side may have been unlucky to lose, David Raya made a brilliant save to deny Enzo Le Fe’s penalty. Arteta, however, did not believe Ezri Konsa tackled Dan Ballard to the ground, instead blaming the Sunderland man for tripping his opponent.
He said: “We had to beat a really tough opponent in a tough place. Sunderland can stifle you and they decided to be physical and very direct and we also had to overcome a situation that I thought was unacceptable at this level.”
“I’m very concerned and upset because it can never be a penalty. It’s a judo throw by the opponent. Ezri doesn’t do anything. We have to take responsibility to protect the game. The game was undefended today and it could have cost us the win and our momentum. I’m very sad. This should never have happened.”

Enzo Maresca’s new side will make the short journey via Manchester City to Old Trafford to face Michael Carrick’s men. The Sky Blues need a win to maintain their 100% record in the Premier League this season and keep pace with Arsenal, who recorded a 2-0 win at Sunderland last night. Elsewhere, Coventry host Brighton as they look to pick up their first points.
In Scotland, Rangers will take on Celtic in the Old Firm Scottish League Cup derby at Ibrox.
