The new arena’s exterior design inspired the Spectrum fans, or Broad Street Hooligans, in 1970 when they were renamed.

“Philadelphia fans deserve the best arena in the world, and some of our friends are partnering with Comcast to offer accurate information. This arena, the finance for private foundations, is a theater of moments and mementos that showcase this city for generations,” enthused Josh Harris, co-founder of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment and a 76ers contributor, in a communiqué.
