Rajasthan Education Minister B.D. Kalla on Saturday said that the public administrative service is the backbone of administration and good governance.
He termed the contribution of the State Administrative Service as important in realizing the dream of making Rajasthan a “model state”.
Kalla was speaking at the 16th convention of the All India Civil/Administrative Service Officers Federation, which was attended by officers from different parts of the country.
The Minister emphasized the need to provide overseas training programmes, study visits and promotion opportunities to State Administrative Services officers on the lines of IAS officers and assured that he would raise these issues with the Chief Minister.
Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat said the responsibility of improving the future of the common man rests on the shoulders of the administrative officials of the state.
Kalla and other guests also gave a souvenir for the occasion.
Rajasthan Administrative Service Association (RAS) President Gaurav Bayad and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
