Eleven civilians and five police officers were killed after a car packed with explosives crashed into a mosque in northwestern Pakistan, a senior police official in Peshawar said.
Firefight between the attackers and security forces continues at the scene in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
One of the attackers was killed by police, the officer said.
The rescue operation is ongoing and the death toll could rise, local media reported.
