The court on Saturday adjourned till April 5 the hearing on the bail plea of AAP leader Manish Sisodia, arrested by the ED in a money laundering case related to alleged irregularities in the implementation of the now-repealed excise policy in Delhi.
Special Judge MP K Nagpal adjourned the hearing after Sisodia’s lawyer sought more time to prepare a detailed response to the ED’s bail plea plea.
Sisodia filed a bail plea on Tuesday and the court asked the Enforcement Directorate to respond by March 25.
On Wednesday, after seven days of interrogation in court, the court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days.
The court on Friday upheld its order on a separate bail petition filed by Sisodia in an excise case filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Special Judge Nagapal said the court will rule on the bail petition in the CBI case on March 31.
The ED arrested the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi on March 9 from Tihar Jail where he was lodged in connection with a case being probed by the CBI.
The CBI arrested him on February 26.
