Drivers are facing long queues in both directions on the M60 following a police incident near the Trafford Centre.
All vehicles were stopped in a clockwise direction between junctions 10 and 11.
Queues currently stretch as far as Stretford junction seven.
There are also delays on the anti-clockwise carriageway as rush hour drivers pass the scene and queues stretch as far as Junction 17 at Prestwich.
