It was a new low for the Pakistan women’s team as they were defeated by Indian bowlers during their Women’s Asia Cup match on Saturday, September. India bundled them in for just 55 runs, their lowest total in a women’s T20I.
Shri Charani took figures of three for seven and was supported by her spin partners Deepti Sharma and Prema Rawat as Pakistan’s innings ended in 18.1 overs. Their previous worst performance was against New Zealand in 2024 when they were bowled out by one pitch of 56 runs.

HOW THE INNING ENDED FOR PAKISTAN AGAINST INDIA
Pakistan got off to a good start, scoring 27 runs in 4.2 overs, but this was helped by poor batting from the Indian team. Pratika Rawal lost several catches and the pacers failed to make any progress on the track.
It was then that Harmanpreet Kaur turned to the golden hand of Shafali Verma and she delivered the wicket of Muniba Ali. This started a string of wickets as Pakistan went from 29 for three at the end of the powerplay to 35 for six by the middle of the innings.
Charani, the No. 1 T20I bowler, dismissed Gull Feroza to start her brilliant spell and the Pakistani batters had no idea how to play the Indian spinner.
Deepti got the big wicket of Pakistan captain Fatima Sana, who was removed for a seven-ball duck. Prema, who kept Radha Yadav out of the team, justified her place in the team by scoring three of her nine runs in four overs.
