Navjot Sidhu scored 54 off 64 balls including 5 fours, Mohammad Azharuddin scored 39 off 57 balls without a boundary and Saba Karim scored 18 off 30 balls containing 3 fours.
Pakistan’s top bowler Saqlain Mushtaq took two wickets, Wasim Akram, Azhar Mahmood took 1 wicket each and debutant Manzoor Akhtar took one wicket in his ODI debut.
Pakistan chased down a target of 240, finishing at 243 for 6 in 47.2 overs, with top scorer Saeed Anwar making 104 off 128 balls – his 14th hundred and his second century against India in ODIs.
Moin Khan scored an unbeaten 49 off 52 balls including 2 fours and a six, Shahid Afridi hit the ball with 19 runs including two fours and 1 six.
Inzamam-ul-Haq scored 19 off 29 balls, including 2 fours, while Ijaz Ahmed hit 16 off 21 balls, containing one six and a four.
