Welcoming the Foreign Secretary’s sanctions package, Hamas spokesman Mr Naeem is widely reported to have said: “The imposition of sanctions by Britain, other European countries and Canada on goods imported from settlements in the occupied West Bank, and the use by the Foreign Secretary in London of the term ‘ethnic cleansing’ to describe settler crimes are important steps in the right direction.”
