How Gurbani strengthened me in the jail cells: an exclusive conversation with Bhai Lal Singh Akalgarh



Sikh political prisoner Bhai Lal Singh Akalgarh spent 28 years behind bars in India. Arrested in 1992, Bhai Lal Singh was sentenced to life imprisonment by a TADA court in 1997. In India, people sentenced to life imprisonment are released after spending 10 to 14 years in prison, but Bhai Lal Singh was forced to spend 28 years behind bars. In August 2020, he was finally released from prison.

Sikh Siyasat spoke to Bhai Lal Singh after his release. In this part of the interview, Bhai Lal Singh talks about his imprisonment and how Gurbani gave him strength in the dark prison cells. The full video of this interview will be published in the coming days.
