New documents shed light on New York’s post-9/11 air quality knowledge



While it has long been known that poor air quality from the World Trade Center debris caused health problems for New Yorkers, a recent trove of documents shows that officials in the Big Apple may have known about these problems much earlier than they have let on. Documents released on the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks are prompting renewed scrutiny of New York City government.
