Story
The story begins with an event celebrating the success of bestselling author Arundhati Deshpande (Ila Bhate), where she reveals that her next book will be based on her own life.
Arundhati’s grandson Sagar Vaidya (Nachiket Lele) is a violinist living in Mumbai with his grandmother and parents. On the other hand, Tanvi Deshmukh is a beautiful and accomplished chess player who also lives in Mumbai with her grandfather and mother.
Sagar and Tanvi are deeply in love with each other. Before getting married, they decide to spend some time together to understand each other better and inform their parents of their decision.
Meanwhile, Arundhati begins writing her new book. As she begins to reflect on her past, she is transported back to the golden memories of her youth, taking the story into flashback set in a small village in Maharashtra.
There, young and handsome Aru is happily in love with an army officer, Hari. One day news comes that a war has broken out on the border with Pakistan. Hari leaves, promising to return soon, but he never returns.
Aru eventually marries and finds happiness with her daughter and grandson. But decades later, in the final stages of her life, she unexpectedly comes face to face with her childhood love, Hari.
Arundhati reveals deeply hidden secrets to her family, turning Sagar and Tanvi’s lives upside down.

Performances
Mansi Patil as Tanvi is not just a girl in love. She is a confident and self-assured woman, clearly aware of her choices and decisions. Mansi perfectly conveys the character’s confidence and sensitivity. Her acting seems natural, and it is this ease that makes Tanvi recognizable and brings her closer to the audience.
Ila Bhate and Satish Pulekar bring their expertise to the film and add significant strength to its emotional core. Their characters have a sense of maturity and restraint that lends itself well to storytelling. Ila Bhate gives her older character considerable depth and strength through her facial expressions and body language.
Nachiket Lele is as natural as Sagar. Anand Kale, Nishigandha Wad, Deepali Vichare, Swapnil Parjane and Akash Shinde and the rest of the supporting cast contribute effectively to the story.

The quality of music by composer Rohan Rohan is evident from the very first credits. The title song ‘Tula Pahata’, playing in the background even before the film starts, is tender, romantic and melodious enough to instantly strike a chord with the audience.
This creates an emotional connection before the story even unfolds, creates curiosity and sets the tone of the film perfectly. The song also adds to the overall viewing experience.
Since Sagar’s character is associated with music, his presence in the film naturally becomes more significant. The other songs are also enjoyable and add to the narrative, helping the story move forward.
Talking about the cinematography, cinematographer Pushkar Jyoting has made a sincere effort to convey the emotional aspects of the story through his camera. The visuals maintain a sense of simplicity, and the camera does more than just introduce the characters and their surroundings. At some points it also helps establish the mood and emotional atmosphere of the story.
