Two terrorists neutralized in shootout in Udhampur; combing operations are intensifying

Security forces said they killed two terrorists in an encounter in Maljat area of ​​Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Thursday.

Weapons and ammunition were confiscated from the killed terrorists, whose identities are still being established. A joint team of Police and Army Para (Special Forces) is continuing search operations in the area to check for any remaining terrorists.

The gunfire erupted late Wednesday following reports of shots fired in Malyata. Acting on concrete intelligence about the presence of terrorists, forces quickly cordoned off the area and launched a large-scale search, a senior police official said.
