Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya said her family’s apartment was destroyed in a Russian air strike on the Black Sea port of Odessa.
“This is what the Russian World looks like. A direct hit from a Caliber cruise missile,” she wrote on social networks, showing a photo of a burning multi-story residential building.
“The only thing that survived was the Roland Garros towel,” the 26-year-old added, posting an image of the famous orange clay towel from the Paris Grand Slam hanging from the rubble.
The head of the Odessa region, Oleg Kiper, said that as a result of the rocket attack on Odessa and nearby Chernomorsk on Friday evening, 37 people were injured, including a child, and two were missing.
