The wind turbine, eight millimeters tall and weighing one gram, has earned Maheswaram Bhanu Chandhar, a young researcher from Narasannapeta in Srikakulam district, a place in the International Book of Records.
Mr. Bhanu Chandhar built the turbine using copper sheets, a small DC motor and a dab of enamel paint. It spins without making a sound. The International Book of Records recognized his innovative project and recently awarded him a world record certificate.
He teaches at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Sri Sivani College of Engineering, Chilakapalem, Srikakulam district, where the management and colleagues congratulated him for the recognition.
“The tiny turbine is functional and useful in space technology and robotics in the future. I will continue further research on the project,” he said. Hindu.
