Bajaj Finance acquires 5% stake in AI video platform TrueFan AI

Bajaj Finance has acquired a 5% stake in TrueFan AI, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered video creation platform, as part of Finserv Intelligence, an initiative of the Bajaj Finserv group focused on applied research and innovation.

The investment is based on the existing commercial relationship between the two companies. Bajaj Finance has already deployed the TrueFan platform widely, using it to create millions of personalized videos for customer engagement and dealer support initiatives.

The partnership is also expected to expand into areas such as personalized marketing, large-scale video creation, in-app live avatar support, AI-powered multilingual communication, dealer communications, training and development, and digital adoption.

Rajeev Jain, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Bajaj Finance, said, “As a finAI company, we are driving the adoption of artificial intelligence company-wide. Our investment in TrueFan AI follows sustained, high-scale adoption of this technology, giving us first-hand experience of the platform’s capabilities and implementation. This investment reflects our commitment to supporting proprietary AI innovation in India and our belief in TrueFan’s potential to drive enterprise adoption of AI-enabled communications.”

The investment will enable Bajaj Finance to invest in technology startups, with a focus on early-stage companies, from seed-stage to Series B, in the areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum, fintech and consumer technology.

Bajaj Finance, a subsidiary of Bajaj Finserv, is a depository non-banking finance company (NBFC) registered with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and classified as an NBFC investment and lending company. It serves over 124.43 million customers through a diversified portfolio spanning consumer loans, SME finance, commercial lending, rural lending, fixed deposits and payments. Its products are offered through web and app platforms in over 4,000 locations and have 2,50,000 active distribution points across the country.

The company said it is focused on using technology, data and analytics to simplify and personalize the customer experience. TrueFan’s investment is in line with a broader focus on AI-powered automation and personalization in the digital ecosystem.

Nimish Goel, Co-Founder and CEO, TrueFan, said, “Bajaj Finance is one of India’s most promising ventures in the AI space. There is no stronger validation than that one of our largest clients has also become a shareholder after experiencing our technology first-hand. This is a strong vote of confidence in the TrueFan AI team and what we have built. We look forward to deepening our partnership with Bajaj Finance and the broader Bajaj Finserv ecosystem.”

The TrueFan platform is designed for enterprise deployment with a focus on low-cost inference, large data generation, and integration with existing enterprise workflows.
