DUBAI: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Thursday announced the schedule for the 2026 Women’s T20 Cricket Asia Cup, which has Pakistan and India in the same group and will be held here from August 28 to September 13.
This year’s continental tournament will feature eight teams divided into two groups of four.
Group A features defending champions India, their traditional rivals Pakistan, Thailand and Hong Kong (China). However, Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
As per the recently released schedule, the 2026 Women’s T20 Asia Cup will begin on August 28 with Thailand and Hong Kong (China) meeting here at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, where all 15 matches of the tournament will be played, including the final on September 13.
Pakistan will begin their campaign on September 1 by taking on Thailand before taking on fierce rivals India on September 5, with their remaining group stage game scheduled for September 7 against Hong Kong, China.
According to the tournament, the participating teams will compete against each of their group mates in the league stage, after which the top two teams from the two groups will advance to the semi-finals, which will be held on September 10 and 11 respectively.
