The Los Angeles Rams will have to rebuild after a disastrous season opener without one of the best pass rushers in football.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero on Sunday, Myles Garrett will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery and will be placed on injured reserve, which will sideline him for at least four weeks.
The two-time Defensive Player of the Year missed time in training camp with a lingering knee injury and played in the team’s 27-7 loss to San Francisco on Thursday.
In the loss, Garrett failed to register a single pressure for the first time since 2018.
The 30-year-old was acquired by the Rams in a blockbuster offseason trade that sent the Cleveland Browns a first-, second- and third-round pick as well as Pro Bowler Jared Wehrs.
