It’s time to introduce yoga and deep breathing exercises into your daily beauty regimen. A new study has found that stress can make you unattractive and unhealthy.

Too much stress? You may start to look unattractive!
A study conducted by British behavioral ecologist Dr Fionna Moore found that high levels of the hormone cortisol, produced when we feel under pressure, makes us ugly and less healthy. It increases the amount of glucose in the body and also inhibits muscle and bone growth.
Dr Fhionna told the Daily Mail: “We think the link between low levels of stress in men and high attractiveness in women is that the ability to cope with stressful situations implies a strong genetic make-up, the future suitability of the partner and his ability to pass on ‘good genes’ to his children.”
As part of her study, Dr. Moore measured cortisol levels in saliva samples and took photographs of the participants’ faces. “We found that the faces of men and women who had high levels of cortisol in their saliva were rated as less attractive and healthy than those of people with lower cortisol levels… Although we haven’t yet identified specific stress signals in the face, it seems to come down to how ‘healthy’ a person looks.”
