One of Dianna Buswell’s co-stars has written an emotional tribute to her, sharing a candid look at her return to Strictly Come Dancing for the first time since giving birth earlier this year.
The professional dancer and her YouTube star partner Joe Sugg welcomed their baby boy, Bowden, into the world in March, announcing their joy in the pregnancy ahead of the 2025 series of the BBC One dance show, which saw Dianne compete against Neighbors legend Stefan Dennis.
Following the birth of her son, it was confirmed that Dianna would return to Strictly for her 10th year, along with fellow dancers Aljaz Skorjanek, Amy Dowden, Alexis WARR, Carlos Goo, Jouvita Przystal, Julian Kaylon, Kai Widdrington, Katya Jones, Lauren Oakley, Nancy Hsu, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin and Vito Coppola.
The professional dancers have since begun rehearsals at the end of July and towards the end of August they were seen returning to the Elstree Studios ballroom for the first time since the last series ended back in December when they pre-recorded acts for the groups that will be featured in the 2026 season of Strictly.
Now, Dianne has given fans an insight into what her days at work as an entertainer and working mom were like. She shared a series of photos on Instagram, including a selfie in which she looked tired as she rehearsed and recorded her Strictly performances, and held bags of breast milk that she had pumped throughout the day.
“My condition after a whole day of filming and pumping,” she captioned the photo. She also shared photos of herself at home with her son, nicknamed Bowie, and said: “Before I go to work, we always make time to play together,” then added next to another picture of her holding her baby boy: “And there are always hugs!”
The comments on the post quickly filled up with comments from Strictly co-star and friend Vito Coppola paying tribute. “Gorgia, you are supermom [heart emoji]”, he wrote. “Honestly, the way you manage everything is amazing!!! You are such an example.
He added: “You never back down, you never waver. You’re always doing everything, dancing and lifting. Sometimes I watch you and think: wow! Keep destroying the Gorgias. You have superpowers!!! #friends,” to which Dianne responded, “Thank you, proud, my dear friend.”
