DOONBAG: President Donald Trump said Sunday the United States should pay the lowest interest rate in the world ahead of a Federal Reserve policy meeting this week.
Asked if he expected the Fed to raise rates on Wednesday, Trump told reporters at the Irish Open that he didn’t know but added that “we should be paying the lowest interest rate in the world, regardless of their formula.”
Trump added that the United States “has the best credit in the world. We make other countries rich. We can turn it off in two minutes.”
