GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) — Dan Neil scored a brace and Rangers beat Celtic 3-0 in the first derby of the season on Sunday in the Scottish League Cup quarterfinals.
Celtic fans were suspended from the game following a Scottish League investigation into the disturbances that marred the sides’ Scottish Cup quarter-final match in March.

The match also marked Rangers’ first win over Celtic under new manager Derek McInnes.
Neil, wearing the captain’s armband, put Rangers ahead from the edge of the area midway through the first half.
Newly signed Kevin Kelce scored the second goal against Rangers and Neil added a third with another fine finish in the 75th.
It was the first home defeat of the season for Celtic, who were also knocked out of the Champions League qualifying play-offs by Austrian club LASK.
