Responding to concerns over power consumption in data centers, the Telangana IT and Industry Minister agreed that there are some challenges associated with them. He said they decided to think about the power requirements of data centers only after meeting the power needs of domestic consumption, agriculture, industry and government.
The IT Minister said that they have initiated a special action plan to address the challenges that may arise from the expansion of data centers in the coming years. Alternative measures are being taken to ensure sufficient power supply to data centers without compromising local requirements.
He said data centers will play a crucial role in developing a comprehensive ecosystem for IT companies and the government is focusing on developing the centers.
