About four months before their much-anticipated debut tour of India, virtual band Gorillaz has booked a third show in Guwahati. The band, led by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, will perform on January 31, 2027 at the Sarusajai Sports Complex (Indira Gandhi Sports Stadium) in Guwahati.
The Mountain Tour, produced and ticketed by District, will kick off in Bengaluru on January 23, 2027, travel to Mumbai on January 27 and end in Guwahati on January 31. Promoting their new album inspired by India. MountainGorillaz will be in India for the first time to perform since making the album, drawing on the cathartic experiences of life, death and music in the country.
Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett said in a statement: “We are looking forward to our first shows in India. The album is brought to life in India and created by many of the incredible musicians we have met and worked with across the country. We have always been committed to bringing The Mountain back. We can’t wait to perform and feel the energy in Mumbai, Bangalore and now Guwahati.”
The Guwahati stop is also in collaboration with Assam Tourism, which has previously boosted the concert economy in the northeastern state by dethroning pop/hip-hop star Post Malone in December 2025 and will host rock legends Guns N’ Roses in November.

Exclusive pre-sale tickets for Mastercard cardholders for the Gorillaz Guwahati show will be available on the District app in two phases. The Mastercard pre-sale with a 10% discount will run from 12:00 on September 15th to 12:00 on September 17th. This will be followed by an access-only Mastercard pre-sale, running from 12:00 on September 17th to 12:00 on September 20th. General tickets for The Mountain Tour will then be available exclusively on the District app from 1pm on 20 September.
