Kangana Ranaut supports Isha Koppikar in her ‘andhbhakt’ statement by sharing her views on patriotism and saying, “I love my country, I love my people.”
Kangana Ranaut, actor and politician, recently took to social media to defend actor Isha Koppikar, who was called an ‘andhbhakt’. She said she was dedicated to serving her people and that the phrase did not refer to a specific political party. Kangana supported Isha and gave examples of situations that demonstrate her dedication to her people.
What did Kangana say?
Kangana shared Isha’s video on social media and wrote, “Wow! Well explained for me… In high school, protested against a teacher who hit children on the head with a stick during an assembly. Protested against the violence of 26/11. Protested against the cruelty of Nirbhaya. Never blamed my parents for any restrictions that may have come my way; instead raised the entire family to the same standard of living that I earned for myself. Identifies as bhakta of almost everyone I meet; I love my country, I love my people, I just love my life.”
Earlier, Isha posted a video on Instagram in which she stated that she is “proud to be a devotee, a blind devotee.”

“If loving your country, believing in India and wanting its progress is loyalty, then yes, I am proud to be a devotee, a blind devotee. But my loyalty is not to any political party, but to my country, my India. Nation first. I can question the government, disagree with politics and still love my country. My home is here; I earn my bread and butter here. So I am not ashamed to love my country,” she said.
Isha further added, “Wherever you live, learn to love the place, respect the place and contribute to it. Take pride in the home you choose. Because patriotism is not just saying, ‘I love my country’. It’s doing something that makes your country a better place. Instead of always asking what the country has given us, why don’t we think about what we can give to the country? See, there are two types of children. One of them considers their whole life what their parents didn’t gave, and what they gave. And the second, whatever they receive, they do it not only with their lives, but also with their parents’ lives. The difference is not only in circumstances, but also in thinking.”
