Vijayawada: Union Health Minister JP Nadda reacted positively to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s proposal to grant national recognition to the proposed Quantum Bio Valley in Amaravati. He announced that the Center would expand its support for the creation of Quantum Bio-Valley and said that a technical team would be sent to Amaravati to discuss the initiative. Nadda said that the Chief Minister’s vision for Quantum Bio-Valley is excellent and assured that various proposals made by Chandrababu Naidu will be considered.
The Union Minister made these remarks while inaugurating ten ICU units and twelve integrated public health laboratories across the State along with the Chief Minister in Vijayawada on Saturday. The Union Health Minister also lauded the Sanjeevani program being implemented by the state government. Terming the initiative excellent, he said the Center would explore the possibility of implementing the program at the national level.
Nadda assured that the Center will extend support to the state government’s initiatives aimed at early detection and prevention of diseases, providing better treatment and providing health services to people at affordable prices.
The Union Minister said that Andhra Pradesh is in good hands under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He praised Chandrababu as a visionary and dedicated leader and said that his contribution to the development of both undivided Andhra Pradesh and the post-bifurcation state cannot be forgotten. Nadda lauded the efforts of the Chief Minister for the overall development of the state and said that the Andhra Pradesh government is giving high priority to the health sector. He also lauded the measures being taken to strengthen health infrastructure across the state.
The Union Minister said that better health services can be provided to the people through the coordinated efforts of the Center and the state government. Nadda repeatedly mentioned in his speech to Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu the emphasis that “the kitchen is the pharmacy and food is the medicine.” He said that Chandrababu’s words are one hundred percent true and called this principle fundamental to maintaining good health. He stressed the need to increase public awareness on disease prevention through healthy diet and lifestyle, rather than relying solely on treatment once the disease occurs.
The Union Health Minister appreciated Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s commitment to irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh. He welcomed the inauguration of projects such as Polavaram Left Main Canal, Veligonda and Handri Neeva. Nadda said that irrigation is crucial for the development of the state and that projects aimed at efficient use of water resources will make a significant contribution to the progress of Andhra Pradesh.
